This course focuses on developing essential literary analysis skills. Students will explore a variety of literary genres, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, analyzing key elements such as theme, character development, and narrative structure. Students will learn to reflect on what they have read incorporating their ever growing vocabulary and literary analysis terms. In class discussions and class forum posts they will practice clear communication gaining confidence in their ability to communicate effectively.
Through a biblical worldview, students will explore how language and literature reflect God's truth and character. They will be encouraged to use their writing and speaking to honor God, uplift others, and communicate the hope of Christ in their daily lives. This course helps students see how communication is not just a skill, but a way to serve God and others, fostering integrity, kindness, and truthfulness in all forms of expression.
